One reason I spell Organise with an ‘S’ is quite simply because I am English and that is how we spell it!
The other reason and the main reason is for the 5S method of organisation and that is to maintain an orderly work environment to maintain an effective and efficient flow of daily activities through the following method;
Many people have asked me why I have a peacock as my logo. When I was young back in England one of my earliest memories is of my grandmother and the tapestries that she used to make (sew). One of these was a beautiful peacock on her fireguard. On warm summer evenings you could hear the peacocks calling. To me that sound isn't unpleasant at all. It's a summer noise and a fond reminder of summer evenings back home in England .
I later discovered that in Chinese symbolism, the peacock means a new beginning. When we moved here from England my husband gave me a beautiful silk picture with a peacock on it. It symbolized our new beginning here in America . I have since learned that in other cultures the peacock symbolizes the transformation from ugly to beautiful. The Buddhists believe that the peacock means 'compassionate eyes' due to the many 'eyes' on its feathers. These are all perfect metaphors for what I am passionate about – helping people's homes and businesses transform into beautiful, organised harmonious places that make them feel relaxed, happy and more productive.
